Project Description

For the international Parking Day, we proposed a challenge to the visitors of the Lab’O: technology has allowed us to connect and work from anywhere in the world.

Let’s imagine that in the future there will be no need for cars.

That would mean…no need for parking spaces either.

What could become of those “unused spaces”?

Throughout the day, participants were invited to write and sketch their ideas of what could happen in a parking space (other than parking a car). Children chose one of these ideas and built it life-size. This activity allowed to have a discussion on how dependent city dwellers are of cars, and what steps would be required to change this.
